Philippe the Original restaurant will turn up the heat with its fifth annual “Free Chili Day,” sponsored by Dolores Chili.
The first 500 customers will receive a free cup of chili with the purchase of any Philippe’s famous French Dip sandwich on Monday, January 27, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Chili lovers will receive a voucher at Philippe’s two main entrances, which can be redeemed at the counter for a free cup of chili – with or without beans, cheddar cheese or onions.
“For decades, Dolores Chili has been the exclusive chili sold at Philippe’s,” said Richard Binder, Philippe’s owner. “We’re thrilled to have Dolores Chili as a long-time partner and sponsor of this fun event.”
In addition, Philippe’s gift cards and Dolores Chili items will be raffled throughout the day.
Philippe’s is located at 1001 N. Alameda St., Los Angeles.
Dolores Chili is made at Dolores Canning Co., which operates out of its East Los Angeles plant, and is a Hispanic family-owned business. For more information, visit www.doloreschili.com.
