The Petros and Money show stopped by Philippe’s on Wednesday, November 11 for a special Veteran’s Day broadcast.
The sports radio duo broadcasted from 3-7 pm at the restaurant and brought in more people inside one of Los Angeles’ most historic restaurants. They brought their friends, Tim Conway Jr., Vic “The Brick” Jacobs, and even Petros’ dad, John Papadakis. The team also talked to current UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen. They talked sports, movies, and plenty of history of the restaurant.
General Manager of Philippe’s, Richard Binder, even stepped up to the mic and talked about Philippes’ rich history on the air. He gave a detailed behind-the-scenes description of how all the meats are prepared and cooked. He even invited Matt “Money” Smith a rare look at the slow roasting process during their next break, which Smith accepted.
Roger the Peanut Man showed up to throw peanuts at show viewers and made them feel as if they were at the old ball game.
Following Binder’s talk, he presented a large check, from Philippe’s, in the amount of $500 to the Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA), in honor of Veteran’s Day.
Petros and Money had their fill of Philippe’s and how much they were enjoying their sandwiches, sides and drinks. But let’s be honest, who wouldn’t?
