With indoor dining on hold in Los Angeles and surrounding counties, Philippe’s has repurposed one of its two parking lots into an al fresco dining area.

The lot adjacent to the restaurant is now a shaded European-style al fresco dining setup where patrons can take their trays of French Dips and more to enjoy.
It’s open during current business hours, daily 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on weekends (Fri – Sun) there’s an outdoor beverage stand open for additional purchases of beer, wine, sodas and bottled water.
Upon arrival at the restaurant, guests can go inside through the main door on Alameda to order from one of the restaurant’s carver stations and exit the door on Ord to head over to the outdoor area to find a table.
Sanitation, distancing, and capacity measures are still in place in the outdoor area that has capacity for up to 100 to safely dine. Philippe’s full precautionary safety guidelines can be viewed here.
The restaurant’s second lot across the street remains open for guests with over 70 spots, in addition to street parking.
Takeout, delivery and nationwide shipping are still available. Takeout orders can be placed at the carver stations, third-party delivery options are available from Postmates and nationwide shipping is offered via Goldbelly.
A popular takeout option is the “Philippe’s Family Meal Pack.” Each pack includes everything you need for four Beef Dip sandwiches with choice of cheese, four side salads, pickles and a bottle of Philippe’s famous Hot Mustard.
