Dodgers baseball is back, and although this year is different, fans are still welcome to safely eat and drink at Philippe’s ahead of Dodger home games, including the home opener Friday, April 9.

The Los Angeles Dodgers will take on the Washington Nationals Friday, April 9 at 1:10 p.m., and Dodgers tradition starts at Philippe’s. Like previous years, Philippe’s will be a popular spot to eat and enjoy a few beers at safely before the game.
Fans can arrive at Philippe’s ahead of the game for French Dips, sides like Macaroni salad and chili, craft beer and more. Philippe’s dining room is at 50% dining capacity and the outdoor dining area is still open. Both will include festive Dodger blue and many carvers will be in their favorite gear. An extra beer station will be available outside for additional purchases.
Opening Day comes just a few days after Philippe’s gave its employees an afternoon off for customer appreciation. On Tuesday, April 6 the restaurant closed at 2 p.m. to give everyone an afternoon of relaxation.
The restaurant is located less than two miles from Dodger stadium. Unfortunately, due to COVID, outside food is currently not permitted at Dodger Stadium, but that may change in the near future.
The restaurant is currently open daily from 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. Breakfast is served daily from 7-10:30 a.m., but on opening day will cut off at 9:30 a.m.
Philippe the Original is located at 1001 N. Alameda St. in Downtown L.A.
